Good morning and happy new year from Nozawa.
The good news is that the ski area is reporting 30cm of snow on the upper areas. Nice. Webcams show frosted/snowy trees up top (and what looks like foggy conditions). Lower down here in the village, we got rained on but there is a slight layer of snow. Things might be clearer by later this afternoon. So while the snow on the top is great to see, it's wasn't the mountain-wider dumpage that we hoped for.
Rather than further opine on all that, I'll just be a bit reflective this morning and hope my slight headache goes away.
