Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 1130cm

Posted on Friday 18th March 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Light snow this morning on the mountain with the ski area reporting up to 5cm on upper areas. Just a little down below and as I write this some limited visibility that might end up being an early morning thing.

The forecast for the day is cloud with rain tonight (hopefully that will be snow above a certain level) and then snow tomorrow too. It will be colder that it has been over the next few days but not drastically so. Let's hope we are on the good side of the rain-sleet-snow borderline.

As always, Naski looks happy.

We can all (and always) learn from Naski.
