Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 22cm
Snowfall at base this season 507cm
Posted on Saturday 15th January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Things have generally calmed down and while it is still snowing on upper areas of the mountain (as per ski area data), it's just cloudy down here at base. 52-60cm of snowfall reported on the top areas since yesterday and up to 30cm on lower areas. So lots more fresh snow.
Lifts should be opening as planned this morning.
We have passed the peak of this particular delivery and by tomorrow there should be some sun in the sky.
Oh yes and then some more snow early week.
Have a good weekend wherever you are.
