Calling all snow lovers!
Uenotaira area of Nozawa reports over 50cm of snowfall since yesterday morning, with at least 30cm of fresh fallen across the mountain. Oh yes, it'll be deep out there this morning.
It isn't too cold either. Actually it feels relatively mild down here at base this morning, but snow is falling still and it's not looking likely to quit just yet. The local forecast says that it'll ease off this afternoon, to be followed by clear and sunny conditions tomorrow.
If you can extend the weekend by the day you will be richly rewarded.
Should be excellent conditions again this morning and if the weather clears tomorrow should be one of the days of the season as well.
