New snowfall at base 13cm
Snowfall at base this season 13cm

Posted on Monday 14th December 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Good morning from a snowy Nozawa.

Yesterday the clouds moved in and it started snowing... down to base too and it was good to see everywhere start to turn white.

This morning the snow is falling nicely and that is what we are due for most of this week.

I have just been out and measured 13cm, and counting. The roads around my place are covered in snow and it feels like mid winter.

Lifts and course openings remain unchanged for the moment but I imagine that things will be opening up fairly quickly.

With all the snow due in the coming week it is really exciting to think that this season we might be back to something more like normal. (Well, in terms of snowfall, anyway).

Bring it on!
