Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 863cm

Posted on Tuesday 10th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

It's another very cold morning here in Nozawa and I have more fresh to report too... since yesterday the resort is reporting 15-23cm of fresh snow across the mountain. They're also reporting a temperature of -12C at Yamabiko as of 8am.

Just generally cloudy conditions as I write this report approaching 9am, and we're not really expecting much in terms of snow today. More just cloud and it should be remaining cold.

Looks like tomorrow should be a cracker with sun on the forecast and getting a bit warmer as well, hopefully not too much.

Then it's back to snow falling Friday and Saturday so continued fresh conditions looks likely.

Fresh snow to report since yesterday (reported by resort):

Yamabiko - 17cm

Uenotaira - 23cm

Hikage - 20cm

Nagasaka - 19cm

Karasawa - 15cm
