Good morning on this last day of March and I am happy to report a bit of fresh snow to finish the month.
It was heavy and wet snow yesterday but got colder overnight and the snow this morning somewhat drier quality. It will be interesting to see how conditions are on the slopes this morning. I would imagine that conditions will be best early on before things warm up in the sunshine that we are expecting today.
And yes, the sun is out from the start of the day today. It is going to be a lovely spring day.
Not quite sure why the official snow depth has jumped up at Hirafu since yesterday. Investigations required so I'm going to go and check things out early on. See you in April.
