Good morning from Niseko and I have more snow to report. I just measured 18cm of it.
It's not particularly cold at the moment, around 0C, but a base is definitely building up nicely.
It might have felt like the start was late but the last bunch of days has been very promising.
Some runs could surely open too with the snow we have, though I haven't heard of any early ski lift movement. For the moment, opening is still planned for Friday and Saturday, as noted below.
