Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 21cm
Snowfall at base this season 102cm

Posted on Tuesday 21st November 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

I think I used the word 'wow' yesterday, so I feel somewhat unoriginal using it again but... wow! Being unoriginal in November is a little concerning, though in this case, it's good news...!

This really is turning up to be an impressive start to the winter season and I can't quite remember such a start. But long may that continue.

With the continued snowfall during the day yesterday, this morning I have another 21cm of fresh snowfall here at base to add to the report.

We're still looking at a good chance of milder conditions and rain tomorrow. (Booo).

Beyond that though, the forecast is looking very nice still.

Fantastic. I love being able to bring great news.
