Snowfall at base this season 110cm

Posted on Friday 24th November 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

Good morning from Hirafu.

Another 8cm of fresh snowfall at base greeted me this morning when I went outside... and a return to very cold conditions too. Brrrr.

The forecast shows more snow on the way through the weekend too. Snowfall is expected today and there's lots of cloud around this morning but there is also some sunshine coming through in places as I write this.

Hold on... update since I started putting this report together: snow is falling again.

So as you can see, it's rather changeable early on.

Niseko Grand Hirafu remains part open today (with the Shirakaba and Center Course available), and the Niseko Annupuri area is set to open from 8:30am tomorrow - and here's what they have scheduled to open:

- Annupuri Gondola (8:30am until 5:15pm)

- Jumbo Number 1 quad lift (8:30am until 3:30pm)

- Jumbo Number 3 pair lift (8:45am until 3:15pm)

- Utopia, Shirakaba, Paradise and Junior Courses set to open

More snow please! (Obviously).
