Posted on Wednesday 6th February 2013 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Last night the forecast said we could perhaps expect up to 15cm of snow overnight and before 9am this morning. It's not 9am yet, but that's definitely a miss. We just got a slight sprinkling. Kagura resort reporting 1-2cm.

Right now light snow falling, and a temperature of -3C. Moderate winds here and stronger up top preventing Tashiro area to open again today, and similarly Kagura restricted to the Kagura part up to the top lift.

Naeba haven't published any intentions for the day yet and so hopefully the Gondola can be working and we get open as normal. I need to get up to Niigata today and so get this report off early.

So hopefully snow during today, tomorrow might start off clear before more snow on Friday. Clearer Saturday and then more snow from Sunday. Changing day by day by the looks of things.

Official resort snow depth:

Naeba - 260cm

Kagura - 370cm

The top lift at Kagura is now open (though might not be operating today due to wind).
