New snowfall at base 20cm
Snowfall at base this season 405cm
Posted on Friday 18th January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Naeba.
Snow is falling all around us. Children playing, having fun. It's the season for skiing and snowboarding. Oh... maybe the song didn't quite go exactly like that. But it is certainly a morning to be out there with fresh snow on a weekday if you don't mind a bit of wind blowing around as well. The gondola and other lifts may well be on hold because of the wind unfortunately and it does look like Dragondola is on hold too with Tashiro closed.
Not a huge amount forecast through tomorrow but snow clouds should still be delivering. Maybe some calmer clearer weather tomorrow but that looks set to be followed up by some nice snow once again from late Sunday and the first part of next week. Bottom line - regular snowfall likely.
Official snow depth stuck on 180cm for what seems like forever? Grain of salt!
