New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 1074cm

Rain to wet snow once again.
It’s actually snowing now; it could be sunny high up on the mountain, but it certainly isn't a powder day. Slush down at base, really. At this time of year, fresh snow is nice basically to make things nice and white again. The forecasts sometimes make it seem like we’re going to get a big dump of snow (does happen in March!), but this year the long-term forecast seems to always shrink down to a few cm....
It does look like snow tomorrow, and it will be colder, so let’s enjoy whatever we get!
Might just be a ski hike out in the woods with the dog, but that’s pretty good skiing, too! Sometimes we forget all the nature around us, and there's nothing the dog likes better than following the tracks of kamoshika (serow, or something like an antelope-goat, although it's related to neither).
