New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 1071cm
Posted on Thursday 5th March 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
When the snow slid off my roof around 7 this morning, I thought I had missed an important job (plowing a few locations). It made a big noise coming off, and it sounded like a whole lot had fallen since I checked very early in the morning. But I still hadn’t heard the plows doing their business earlier. In fact, our potential heavy snow turned out to be basically nothing—it was heavy, but only in weight, not quantity.
I felt that yesterday out on the hill, too, with really wet snow that soaked into gloves, and which was dense enough to stop the car’s wipers with just a few centimeters of fresh.
There’s a chance for more over the weekend, but once again it looks like it will start with rain and turn to snow, probably wet and heavy again....
