Oh, it is snowing out there today, and it's the real, big-flake, some-centimeters-per-hour kind now. Warms my heart just looking out the window (but also spurs me to some action on the slopes!).
Looks like we'll be getting continuous snowfall for the next few days - possible clear weather tomorrow - with possible heavy snow again on Tuesday. Then something is moving in that will move the freezing line to (and, remember, this is a prediction, and they have been wrong) 2,000 meters. That is not good news, especially because rain is also predicted. Let us hope this is wrong.
A little caution if you do head offpiste to steeper slopes (and, I know, they look good because there is less brush on them). There is a good chance of sluffing as fresh new snow piles up on fairly firm stuff underneath - going with a buddy is a must, saying no always a reasonable option. We had some pretty strong winds earlier in the morning, which increases the risk even more.
