Snowfall at base this season 1090cm

I’ve been expecting to see a notice from Lotte Arai on the last day, but no official notice yet (and the days are numbered!). The scrolling notice at the top of the website does describe more open spots and rocks, and asks, “Please do not create bumps on the packed snow slopes.” Hehe. Good luck with that. Really high temperatures, and the Golden Week holiday is coming to an end, so expect the end shortly.
I did take the Myokokogen Sky Cable gondola up at Akakan yesterday—something to do with my young big dog with boundless energy. There are still some snow patches up there, which delighted said canine (she has much more experience with cold weather than the double-digit temps we have now!). I believe it will stop running after today, the last day on the season passes.
Rain tomorrow, which will also hasten the closing of the last operating resort.
