Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 888cm

Posted on Tuesday 4th March 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

It's a nice day, after a day of light fresh snow, meaning we have extra-blue skies thanks to the pure white hills below.

Enjoy it today though, because tomorrow the temperatures will go back up and rain will fall. Happy to see that the previously predicted heavy rain has fallen off the report, and snow will be following soon after.

No official reports in yet; these are yesterday's figures which may or may not all reflect the 15 cm or so that fell through the day.
