Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 31cm
Snowfall at base this season 251cm

Posted on Wednesday 4th January 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

More snow overnight, about 30cm of nice, lighter snow. The temperatures stayed pretty consistent; my little unit says it stayed between -2 and -4°C throughout the night and into the morning.

Going out to explore the woods this morning, so I want to give an early report, but, again, the resorts haven't updated, and it's right at 8am! Sorry, but if I wanted to plan my day, I'd like to know a bit more about conditions earlier than 8am. Minor rant ended.
