Some more fresh snow on the ground this morning.
The snow remains pretty wet; running the snowthrower or shoveling down to the driveway or deck means revealing a lot of water. That was what I found out snowshoeing yesterday in the woods; pretty solid, cohesive wet snow. It’s going to be safer than that deep layer of loose powder at the end of the year, ready to swallow up an inverted skier or boarder.
As expected, lots more people were on the hill yesterday than on the morning of the 1st and there should be many happy sliders out again this morning. The sun has been trying to break through here, too, since the early morning. A few snowflakes continue to drift down, but it’s pretty much stopped for the moment.
