Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 177cm

Posted on Sunday 31st December 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Warm and a bit wet to start the last day of 2023.

It is raining, but very lightly at the moment. Looks a bit white way up top above the lifts, and hopefully that will extend further down the hill as the wind shifts around to the north later this evening. It could be a pretty good amount, it seems, and the ski areas definitely need more right away.

There's a pretty good gap of three days or so after that until the next forecasted snowfall, so the more the better tonight!
