Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 219cm

Posted on Monday 29th December 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Sunny and clear again; getting ready for more snow soon (watching those snowpack numbers going down again, at least for our more honest/reliably reporting resorts).

OK, it is nice to see the mountains, and nice not to be shivering on the lifts. I’ll bring praise to the joy of skiing in howling winds and deep snow later.

I’m not listing the lift operations for each area now, but I will add a note when a lift is down or there are other changes worth noting up on the hill.
