Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 135cm
Posted on Tuesday 29th December 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
After the stars came out last night things really turned around, and we have at least 30cm of fresh at the base of Akakan!
A very nice, partially expected but very welcome sight today. Needed, too; the snow was pretty nice, actually, on the hill yesterday, but there were some rocks and dirt popping out here and there. Now Akakan is reporting a 100cm base, which is always good news.
Snow keeps on falling, so hopefully we can get closer to normal for this time of year soon!
Not all reports are in, but I want to get these out earlier; I'll mark where no new info has come in (just add 30+cm to the depths!)
