Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 33cm
Snowfall at base this season 993cm

An interesting weather day in Myoko on this Sunday.

Wind, blowing snow, drifts, then some sun, rinse and repeat. It's quieted down at the moment I'm typing this, but I don't want to repeat yesterday (when I said things have quieted down, and then they didn't). Not that I feel guilty; hey, it's winter mountain weather and consistency is not to be excepted. Or wanted.

Anyway, this means nice fresh snow this morning and some pretty good conditions on the hill. Go forth and slide.
