Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 1608cm

Nice to have a day of blue skies and no new snow weight on buildings and machines (looks like I've bent my container house used to store gear; it was the last thing on my list to get shoveled off, but I was a little late. Or overwhelmed).

Another precipitation-free morning, so we're free to snowblow in pleasant conditions.

Oh, and there's great snow on the hills, and buildings absolutely covered in snow (see photo from Akakara Onsen).
