Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 12cm
Snowfall at base this season 330cm

Posted on Sunday 24th January 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

The snow is really coming down now; the flakes are getting bigger and bigger, and the volume is increasing.

Reports are for some serious snow later in the day, and it already looks good now. Not too much wind and it's hard to see for the snow. This is just what we want!

The figures for this morning don't show much increase yet, but hopefully we'll have much higher snowpack numbers tomorrow!
