Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 1598cm
Posted on Saturday 23rd March 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
A little bit of fresh this morning, just enough to soften up the slopes but not really enough to cover the gray snow walls around town.
Still a bit of breeze from the north, but not enough to interfere with lift operations.
Hope there's no interruption, too, in this, the next to the last weekend for all but three resorts.... things go so fast (must really be getting old). That first snowfall seems like yesterday.
At least we'll have enough snow to finish out the season, and it doesn't look like it will get crazy warm again over the coming week.
