It's sunny, cold, beautiful... Happy New Year!
And what a great way to start the new season. We have an excellent base of snow, the trees are just plastered in white, the mountains have finally popped into view. And looks like more snow ahead, maybe even heavy.
Just one little warning: the lifts are freshly greased, and with melt and snow and stuff it will drip on your clothes. As it did for me yesterday, so I have a well spotted orange coat.... not blaming the ski areas, mind you - just maybe not wear your new best stuff just yet.
