Back in the office for the post-season. We got more snow after a day of rain, snow, blustery winds, blue skies. A very moody weather day to end the main season, and March.
Four resorts remain open, with somewhat limited lifts and runs. But there's still a lot of snow out there, something I really realized out there on the cross-country course between Ikenotaira and Akakan. Last year we had to gather up snow for some of the runs at the national tournament; this year for a more regional race we had plenty of snow. Tons, actually.
Still snow to enjoy, even if the cherry blossoms are already in full bloom in nearby Takeda.
