Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 45cm
Snowfall at base this season 800cm

Posted on Tuesday 19th January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Blizzard conditions out there in Myoko today, at least at moments.

Heavy snowfall and some pretty strong winds at times, especially (like my house) where it's open to those north winds.

A lot of new snow on the ground, and a lot more falling; will we get to one meter over two days? More good reasons to get out and support your local ski area (and they need your help/business!).
