Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 6cm
Snowfall at base this season 807cm

Posted on Friday 19th January 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Snow again! Not the greatest kind of white stuff; we saw little pellets of soft hail, the kind of snow that, if you get a whole to of it, you don’t go forward except on steep slopes.

The good news is more snow to come after Saturday, and especially mid-week. Hopefully the snow will be more flakes, less little balls net time. Back to full winter mode again?
