Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 37cm

Posted on Monday 19th December 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

The snow is really being reluctant this year; another dusting that maybe gives us 1cm of fresh. Hmmmm. Strange weather ahead, too, with snow still forecast, but possibly rain on Thursday (blech) as a big storm center over the Pacific sends southerly winds across a lot of Honshu and Hokkaido. At least we're not alone in our snow=less misery. But we're still positive, and hopeful for a white Christmas and a very merry slide on the snow in the near future.

And on to the daily, almost unchanged, report;
