Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 1587cm

Posted on Sunday 17th March 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

A little snow in the afternoon yesterday and overnight.

Pretty wild temperature swings, too; my simple outside thermometer says it's 6° now (maybe a little high), but that it went down to -7° overnight and had a 24-hour high of 8.5°! I guess to be expected in this time of year (we won't get into climate change and temperature swings and such).

Looks like this might not be the last snow of the season, but we have some warm weather to get through before that.
