Well, some snow fell through the day yesterday, but we still don't have a whole lot at the base level at Akakan.


It's beautiful out there, don't get me wrong; the trees are covered in white (the snow was a little stickier than earlier falls, so it was good at frosting everything nicely), the sun is shining and the mountain looks like it's ready for skiers. Looks can, as they say, be deceiving.


As I'm writing this, it's still not clear if the resorts that were hoping to open today (or those that were planning to open last week) are partially open or not. What you're seeing is the result of me having some breakfast and waiting to the last minute before getting this report to you...
