Not a great day before we enter the weekend; a low-pressure center moving to the north brought some strong winds earlier, and rain and gloom at the moment.
But it looks like a nice weekend ahead, with high pressure moving in, bringing sun and warmer weather for Saturday and Sunday.
Perhaps we'll have a repeat of last weekend, which saw a really full parking lot at Akakura Kanko and a lot of happy-looking skiers out there. Also nice to see many international families out there as well - the powder season is great, but it's nice in spring, too, as the trees start to turn green, and the first cherry blossoms are now just starting to come out at base level (you really have to look for them, but they're there, and there will be a lot more soon!).
Hard to tell from their website, but it appears that Seki is closed today, but will open for the weekend. It doesn't say "closed" for the current condition, but does say "reopen" in Japanese. Your writer can at least decipher that part...
