The day started a bit gray, with a few centimeters of fresh snow just to whiten things up a bit. It's getting a bit brighter now; looks like the sun might even try and peek out.
Good three-day weekend on the hill, with lots of happy sliders coming to visit and no excessive snow to slow down access.
Akakan has reduced the number of lifts running again, closing the Sky Cable gondola and Champion No. 1 at the base of the mountain. All runs are accessible, but if you do ski all the way to the bottom on the Akakan side you'll need a lift ticket for Akakura Onsen to get back up, or hike down to catch the free local shuttle bus.
