Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 248cm

Posted on Tuesday 12th January 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Some nice light snow overnight. Once again, not a huge, Myoko-typical dump, but still a welcome addition to a slowly but steadily increasing snowpack.

It's still a little light for getting out into the backcountry, but the bush is slowly disappearing.

Just remember that you probably won't be doing massive powder turns anytime soon, but it is nice out there.
