Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 9cm
Posted on Sunday 11th December 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
There is some genuine snow coming down in Myoko this morning. The total is still really low at the moment, so I'll put in just a bit for our daily figure, and add more information tomorrow.
A few resorts missed their intended opening date of yesterday (but most people thought that might happen), so even if it takes a bit more time it would still be nice to see a little base building up. And I will not lie to my readers; I still feel like a kid when that first snow starts to really come down! Pretty soon we'll be sliding down those hills.... ahhh.
