Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 12cm
Snowfall at base this season 1305cm

Posted on Saturday 10th March 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Snow on the ground this morning - and happy to see more, as the snow walls along the roads are really, really low. Still pretty good levels at most of the ski areas, so no panic just yet (with a little over three weeks left in the season).

Snow today and maybe a bit tomorrow, but spring is coming back in the new week, as that freezing level heads up higher than the peak of Mt. Myoko.

Lots of sun, too, so at least if it isn't going to snow...
