Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 9cm
Snowfall at base this season 95cm
Posted on Monday 9th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Hakuba.
So, after all that snow, it eased off yesterday and we have some lovely blue skies and sunshine this morning with a bank of cloud around the mountain backdrop.
It's a beautiful morning to be out there (and I am keen to go and partake myself once I have posted this report).
From today, you should be able to slide back down to Toomi base at Hakuba Goryu, though that is not yet open early morning. Perhaps a bit later.
More sun is forecast tomorrow. Then more snow on Wednesday. And more significant snow as we enter the weekend.
That sounds like a good pattern to me.
