Strong winds affecting some resorts at the start of the day today - all of Hakuba 47 on standby and the top of Goryu, lots of Happo and the gondola at Tsugaike Kogen. Hopefully things might calm down up to allow them to open...
Resorts reporting 0cm to up to 10cm of snowfall, again probably the wind is the reason.
There's lots of cloud around this morning but also some blue sky to be seen in places, and the forecast does indicate clearing skies as the day goes on. It should stay quite chilly during the day.
Tomorrow the forecast is for sunshine from the start of the day and milder conditions. It should be a calm, beautiful day and I expect resorts to be busy. An early start is highly recommended!
