Snowfall at base this season 150cm

Good morning from Hakuba.

This year might have been a rubbish one in many respects, but at least we should be thankful that are getting snow.

It is a snowy and cold morning here in Hakuba with a good 25-30cm on the ground.

The biggest haul being reported this morning is by Hakuba Cortina - they are reporting 50-60cm across their resort; other resorts up to 40cm on upper areas. Those sort of numbers are just so great to hear.

Snow forecast for the next few days with the next chance of clearer skies probably for around Sunday.
