New snowfall at base 27cm
Snowfall at base this season 243cm
Posted on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
It's a very good morning and I am really pleased to be able to report some good snowfall numbers.
Following on from yesterday, there's more. Here's how much new snowfall the ski resorts themselves are reporting
Hakuba Cortina: 25cm (base), 35cm (top)
Hakuba 47: 30-50cm (on their social media they are talking about up to 60cm)
Hakuba Goryu: 20-30cm
Hakuba Iwatake: 20-30cm
Tsugaike Kogen are adding up to 40cm to their top snow depth number and 50cm has been added to the top official snow depth over at Happo-one.
That should be bringing some smiles to faces this morning, including mine. :)
I have measured 27cm since I measured for the report yesterday morning.
Visibility is limited and there is not much of a wind that I can feel.
Today should be a very good day and there is more regular snowfall forecast for the week.
(If you want to enjoy clearer skies, tomorrow morning is looking like we might see some sunshine).
