Mid-season disappointing section.
That rain of the last few days has been really annoying, but I was hoping to be able to report fresh snowfall numbers this morning. And while it is now snowing, there's no snowfall numbers being reported by ski areas --- other than 3cm at Usagidaira (Happo-one).
As I write this it is actually snowing quite nicely, so hopefully it will continue through the day. I'm guessing that by the time folks get up to the top areas there should be some fresh snow to play with.
'Frozen lift wires' is causing lifts at Happo-one to be late opening this morning.
Until we get more fresh snow, some lower runs are going to start being increasingly affected. I will start trying to bring related information to you in these reports over the coming days.
Come on snow! Keep going!
