Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 717cm

Posted on Thursday 20th February 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Hakuba.

More snow (see the numbers below).

While it is still snowing at higher elevations, as of 9am it is actually quite bright down at base. Feels like the sun is trying to break through.

It doesn't feel so windy but top lifts are still being affected at the start of the day at Happo-one, Tsugaike and Goryu/47 ---- I think that is perhaps dealing with the snow rather than wind.

Snow clouds might still be with us for a few more days though, so we probably can't expect clear skies.

For that, we will need to wait until early next week. Maybe.

Lots of fresh to enjoy wherever you choose to slide.
