Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 89cm
Posted on Monday 20th December 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
There's more snow and it feel like it should be an excellent morning out there. It has eased off and there are signs that it might be getting clearer. Tomorrow should also see some sun and it is going to be getting a bit warmer too. Let's hope it keeps under control, we don't want our precious snow to be affected. The next significant snow looks like it'll be with us at the weekend, but we might/should get some more before then tomorrow night into Wednesday.
Some really good snow depth numbers being clocked in now around the ski areas. We're doing well. I am pleased. (Can you tell I am ignoring all the news on the tv and online? It really does help, I recommend it if you are able to.)
Please bear with me as I add other ski area info to the report. Hopefully tomorrow. All ski areas apart from Jigatake are now open.
