Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 82cm

Posted on Sunday 19th December 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Some more snow to report this morning, though not big numbers. I was expecting more actually. But it is snowing this morning and good and cold, hopefully we'll get some more cm for me to report tomorrow.

More of Happo, Goryu and Tsugaike are opening today. I have added those details below. We will see a gradually opening up as long as we get more snow coming on.

The only ski area in the region not part open now is Jigatake in Omachi. (Sanosaka is sitting this season out).

I will be doing some housekeeping on the report in the coming few days to reflect the quickly changing situation.
