Independent snow and weather reporting from the Geto Kogen region of Iwate

New snowfall at base 19cm
Snowfall at base this season 1211cm

Posted on Tuesday 1st February 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Geto Kogen Now report can be found here.

The snow stopped last night and it's just cloudy at the moment (and fairly bright at times too). We did manage to get another 19cm yesterday though. And guess what, more snow is on the way. It just seems to keep on coming. There is the chance of some clearer skies from time to time between the snow, but those periods will probably be short lived.

Cold temperatures to continue.
