New snowfall at base 8cm
Snowfall at base this season 333cm
Posted on Sunday 9th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
Look above and you will see brilliant blue sky. Conditions like this usually mean it is cold, and today is the kind of temperature that would be expected early Feb in Furano. It is -25c in the village and -28c at the top of the resort. The sun is out is full force and clouds probably won't move in until mid afternoon. With good recent snow falls the slopes are in excellent condition with plenty of fluffy powder still on the main courses. I missed the report yesterday so the new snow of 8cm reported here relates to the measurement from yesterday morning.
