What a great day it is to farewell 2016. There was low light in the first part of the morning but the cloud has lifted to reveal mostly blue sky, and as a result the visibility is now perfect. We have had 13cm of new snow in the village and about 20cm at mid mountain level. The resort has left a lot of terrain ungroomed on the Kitanomine side, so there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the powder today. There is wind on the mountain, not constantly, more the occasional gust. However when the wind does hit it makes things feel pretty cold.
