Snowfall at base this season 418cm

Posted on Sunday 21st January 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Overnight Furano received 12 cm of new snow in the village which is most welcome. The morning started off with some light snow falling and calm conditions...now, mid morning, the snow has stopped and the winds on the mountain are blowing moderately once up above the base area. The upper half of the mountain is sitting in cloud but visibility on the lower half is good. From now on the temperature is forecast to get colder during the day. With the fresh top up of snow the slopes are in superb condition.
